Common
Booking Scenarios (prices are sent with the demo CD): |
- A one hour contract is
usually perfect for most ceremonies. With about 15 to 30 minutes
of prelude music and about 30 to 45 minutes for the
ceremony/receiving line etc.
- The average ceremony and
cocktail hour combo would be 2 hours.
- If you have a very short
ceremony and want us for the cocktail hour, sometimes it
works to book 1½ hours which we have a pricing increment for.
- If you have a very long
ceremony, like a Catholic Mass, you can take advantage of
the ½ hour increment by booking 1 ½ hours.
- A cocktail hour, as the
name implies, is usually a one hour booking. Often we also play
dinner music or for entire receptions when the
wedding is small and only light music is required.
- We can augment our duo with
other musicians. For example by adding bass and drums we can
become a full jazz quartet; add a vocalist and we’ll be a
band that can play and sing pop and rock dance tunes.
Pricing depends on which specific musicians are added and for
how long. Ask us for a quote based on your requirements.

Additional Services (no additional
charge): |
- We bring our
own, state-of-the-art sound system that amplifies the
instruments in a very effective and natural way, indoors or out.
For outdoor ceremonies, we can run on battery for up to 4 hours
if access to electricity is not available.
- Any amount of
telephone consulting to help you with your ceremony design,
music integration, choice etc.
- We’ll
accompany a singer or other musician including a short,
day-of-the-wedding run through.
- We work
cooperatively with any personnel that is coordinating your
wedding (wedding planners/church music directors, function
managers at the event location etc) to make sure everything goes
smoothly.
- We’ll learn
special request tunes, if we don’t already know them; just
supply us with the music (subject to review of the sheet music
to make sure it is suitable for flute & guitar as written)
- We can
provide basic DJ/MC services. We can bring a CD player and
play recorded music that you want during the proceedings.

Additional Services (additional charge
applies): |
- Provide an
extra hand held wireless microphone to amplify the words of
your officiant or readers.
- Augment the duo
with additional musicians.
- Transcribing
and/or arranging of special request tunes.
- Composition,
by us, of a custom piece of music especially designed for
your wedding.
- Rehearsals on
a separate day (short, day-of-the event run through with a
singer etc are included and are almost always all that is
necessary).
- Extensive
travel and/or travel costs (ferryboat, airplane, overnight
accommodation).
- Specially
produced, custom-made professional recordings. (Sometimes
people want a special song or piece recorded professionally by
us in advance for rehearsals or as a commemorative.)
